Stickman Animation

Being a fan of merging different notions in order to have creative outcomes, I got the idea of combining the 2D medium with the 3D one. After a bit of brainstorming and analysis, I remembered one of my first ever art projects in elementary school: drawing a stickman, the most basic 2D form. That’s when it dawned on me that I could try to bring this elementary 2D character format into a 3D environment and create an animation out of it.

After creating a walking cycle that my stickman could follow, I remembered my second ever Blender project: creating a town, and thought that this is the perfect environment for my stickman. 

 • Software used: Blender, 2D + 3D animation
 • Techniques applied: Drawing mode, TimeOffset modifier
